The short version
This site has no accounts, no comments and no newsletter. The only place we ask for personal information is the contact form, described below.
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the details you type in (your email address, your message and, on the Contact page, your name and subject). The message is handled by an external form service and delivered to our inbox. We use it only to reply to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list or sell it to anyone.
Analytics
The site may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views. This analytics does not create advertising profiles and does not use cookies to follow you across sites. If it is enabled, it collects aggregate information such as page views, referrers and approximate country.
Cookies set by affiliate partners
When you click an affiliate link to a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer may set its own cookies so it knows the visit came from this site. Those cookies are governed by the retailer’s own privacy policy, not this one. They are what allows the retailer to pay the site a commission on your purchase, at no extra cost to you.
Server logs
Like essentially every website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request logs for security and performance. This may include your IP address for a short retention period, in accordance with Cloudflare’s own policies.
Your choices
- You can browse the entire site with cookies blocked.
- You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your browser or your device’s advertising settings.
Changes to this policy
If the site adds features that change what is collected, this page will be updated with a new date. Questions can go to contact@mybackupwatts.com.
